Plans, administers, and directs recreation programs that are centered around youth sports, with limited adult programs. Works as the liaison for Downtown Commerce businesses with the City of Commerce. Performs a variety of routine and complex clerical, secretarial and administrative work in keeping official records, providing administrative support to the Parks staff, and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the department.
Performs a variety of supervisory, administrative and professional work in development and implementation of community development plans, programs and services. Exercises administrative direction over Community Development staff, inspectors, animal shelter staff and other support staff either directly or through subordinate supervisors.
Performs a wide variety of routine and complex supervisory, administrative and clerical tasks for the Municipal Court. May supervise court ordered community service workers or other full or part-time or temporary staff, as assigned. Serves as Municipal Court Judge in his/her absence or as assigned.
Performs technical and administrative accounting work in maintaining the fiscal records and systems of the City. Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records. Supervises clerical staff or other part-time or temporary staff as assigned.
Under general direction, provides administrative direction and supervision regarding the city’s financial activities, including budget preparation, cash management, bank relations, purchasing, utility customer services, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
