City Secretary
The City Secretary’s office is the primary resource for all documentation relating to the City of Commerce. As Records Retention Officer for Commerce, the City Secretary is responsible for keeping all official records, including Ordinances, Resolutions, Contracts, and Agreements.
Preparing City Council Agendas and recording minutes from these meetings is a responsibility of the City Secretary. These meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. Agendas are posted the Friday before the meeting at City Hall on the bulletin board located outside the building. The agendas are also posted on our website for the convenience of our interested citizens. Copies of the agendas may be obtained by calling this office.
Additional responsibilities of the City Secretary include: Public Information Officer, Emergency Management Secretary, and Municipal Election Administrator.
All city meetings are open and the public is welcome to attend.
