State of the City
Mayor Williams is a long time resident of Commerce. He is a graduate of Commerce Schools and a graduate of East Texas State University (now TAMU-C). He currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Advancement at Texas A&M – Commerce and was elected Mayor of Commerce in May of 2016.
Dr. Keck joined Texas A&M University – Commerce in June of 2016 and became the President of the university in October of 2016. He and his wife, Patricia, live on campus, and they have been strong supporters of the City and Commerce ISD.
Mr. Alderman grew up in Commerce with parents who were administrators in the school district as well. He is a graduate of Commerce ISD and Baylor University. He spent 3 years as Assistant Superintendent in Commerce ISD before becoming the Superintendent of Schools in 2016.
